Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar has set a record of leading umpire Steve Buckner's highest-ever umpiring record in 128 matches.

Aleem Dar, from Gujranwala, Pakistan, is currently umpiring in his 128th match in the second Ashes Test between England and Australia.

While interviewing the ICC on the occasion, Aleem Dar said it was a great pleasure for him because Steve Buckner was an exemplary umpire.

He said, "I am thankful to God, the ICC, the PCB, my coaches and especially my family for which I set the record for Steve Buckner."

Aleem Dar began his umpiring career at the age of 32 with a one-day match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka played in Gujranwala. Their first Test match was as an umpire in England and Bangladesh in Dhaka.

Talking to the ICC about his career, Aleem Dar said that he always wanted to be a Test cricketer but because of his father's police job he had to live in different cities and he did not focus on cricket initially. Could give.

He said, "It takes at least six years to get my iron in the umpiring sector, but I'm lucky I became an international umpire within a year."

Aleem Dar has made umpires in 206 ODIs so far. He has also come close to breaking South Africa's Rudy Kurtzen's record of 209 ODIs.

Aleem Dar made umpires in the 2007 and 2011 World Cup finals.

He has also won the ICC's Best Umpire of the Year Award three times because of his high quality of umpiring.

Alim Dar, 51, has played first-class cricket as a league sniper and middle-order batsman in Pakistan. In his short cricketing career, Aleem was not able to perform for fear and only got 11 wickets in 17 first-class matches, but he made a good name in the Empire.

Aleem Dar has performed umpiring duties in all men's ICC events since the 2003 World Cup. However, he has not been awarded the finals in two recent World Cups.

Despite the low light in 2007 final, he and his fellow umpires faced severe criticism due to the controversy over the game and it was the result of their umpires in the first T20 World Cup that followed. Was not added to the panel.

Similarly, his two decisions in the 2015 World Cup match were criticized after which he could not venture into the semifinals and finals, but overall, Alim Dar's umpiring career has been fantastic. Exact decisions have been made for example.
